About Waterford Crafts

Waterford Crafts was established in 1984 with the aim of bringing Waterford crafts to a wider audience through the development of a successful brand and network. The selection of crafts available range from elegantly dipped and hand carved candles to exquisite hand blown glass jewelry, natural and organic skincare products to superb wooden crafts carved from the trunks of local trees, and quirky distinctive ceramics to hand woven baskets created from willow grown in Tramore. Waterford Crafts are a co-operative group consisting of members that organise craft events in Waterford City, County and the surrounding areas. Voluntarily run by a core group of local craft people, the co-op members strive to provide an exclusive, quality and professionally run Annual Christmas event, which is the main outlet for all the local craft members. The annual Christmas Crafts Fair runs from the last weekend of November through to the 23rd of December each year in the Garter Lane Arts Centre, O’Connell Street Waterford. In order to participate in any Waterford Crafts craft fair, a craft person must first apply to become a co-op member. The application period for membership of the Waterford Crafts and to participate in the annual Christmas Craft Fair, is open from 1st January to 31st July each year. For more information on how to apply, please go to our membership page.
